The Rumjacks
THE RUMJACKS ist eine Celtic, Folk und Punk-Rock Band aus Australien. 2018 feierten sie ihr 10-jähriges Bestehen. Ihren Durchbruch schafften sie 2010 mit „An Irish Pub Song“ aus ihrem Debüt-Album „Gangs of New Holland“. Mittlerweile hat der Song unglaubliche 56 Millionen Klicks auf YouTube und die Band 150 000 Subscriber. Auch ihre Festivalpräsenz diesen Sommer ist beachtlich: Wacken, Mission Ready, aber auch z.B. Groezrock oder Sjock Rock, Hellfest, um nur einige zu nennen. Mit ihrem vierten und aktuellen Album “Saints Preserve Us!” soll die Erfolgsstory fortgesetzt werden.
Band Update zum neuen Sänger Mike Rivkees – hier das offizielle Statement der Band: „We are very pleased to announce that as of today Boston’s own Mike Rivkees will be joining The Rumjacks full time on vocals.
Mike has joined us previously as a guest vocalist on “Billy Mckinley”, and we’ve been massive fans of his work with bands such as Mickey Rickshaw for many years now. He’s a super creative, talented, enthusiastic musician and just a damn good fella! Mike, welcome to the family!!!
And yes, things are pretty crazy right now and this is going to be a huge transition for us. So we can’t thank you all enough for the support. We are beyond excited for this new chapter, and can’t wait to show you guys what comes next.“
